About the role
We’re looking for a temporary afternoon Supervisor to join our team on a 10-week contract, starting ASAP.
You will be responsible for leading teams in the High Risk and Despatch areas to produce our outstanding quality pies, ensuring compliance with standards and policies while always pursuing and promoting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
· Schedule and organise staffing to deliver on planned production volumes
· Responsible for the operational performance in your area by ensuring the production plan is attained in the time and costs targets while maintaining high quality standards
· Motivate and develop team members to ensure processes are followed and maximise performance
· Responsible for the traceability of the products within your area (use of raw material, semi-finished goods and waste)
· You will assume responsibility for the quality of the products packed in High Risk. You must therefore clearly understand the specification of the pies, inclusive of construction, weight & appearance
· Additionally, you must clearly understand the required standards that help minimise the risks to food safety. These include: Temperature control (Critical Control Points); Contamination and allergen control; Metal detection (Critical Control Points); Manage the GMP within your areas.
· Communication with logistics drivers visiting site, and their controlling offices
About you
We’re looking for an experienced Supervisor who is willing to get stuck in for this 10-week contract with the ability to start by Monday 19th January and work afternoon shifts (12-9pm, 1-10pm)
Skills and Attributes
· Ability to lead & motivate teams.
· Clear written skills.
· Good verbal communications skills at all levels of the business.
· To have good understanding of the manufacturing process & performance in terms of efficiency, quality, materials & equipment.
· Ability to solve problems, offer solutions and identify improvements
· Flexibility in approach to meet work demands – including working hours
