About the role


This is an important role supporting the site’s ambitions in relation to compliance, efficiency and cost control: managing and reporting on all aspects of ingredient and work-in-progress stock control.

You will work with all areas of production to ensure accurate and efficient stock control including ‘right first time’ posting of works orders. Act as ‘traceability champion’, by working with shop-floor staff and management to improve processes with the aim that the business understands precisely what stock it has and how it got there.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure FIFO & batch control is in place & adhered to at all times
  • Ensure processes, procedures, methods & recipes are followed & there is accurate recording (both paperwork and digitally) of food manufacturing
  • Data integrity – Analysis of errors within production & proposing solutions to ensure accuracy & efficiency
  • Monitoring & daily reporting of WIP stocks to support fulfilment objectives as well as minimising waste
  • Management of stock with value of c.£250k inclusive of ensuring accurate transaction to underpin traceability (use of raw material, semi-finished goods & waste)
  • Report to the Production Manager & other stakeholders on gaps in procedures
  • Where non conformances are raised due to failure to comply with procedure, you must endeavour to close these actions in a timely manner & where required conduct Root Cause Analysis with colleagues to avoid reoccurrence


About you


For this hands-on role, the ideal candidate will have experience of a similar role in a FMCG, food production or manufacturing environment as well as experience of managing inventory (e.g. FIFO, stock counting methods.) You will have a keen eye for process improvement and maximising operational performance.

About the package:

  • Salary of £24,960-£30,308 dependent on experience. With up to 10% of annual salary in bonuses
