Social Media Manager
Pieminister
The Role
We're looking for someone who can create compelling video content and prove what works with data. This role is equal parts creative and analytical – you'll be shooting and editing short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels, while also digging into platform analytics to understand what performs and why, and using those insights to shape what you make next.
You'll own our social media presence across all platforms. You'll work day-to-day with our Head of Campaigns, partnering on campaigns and activations, and collaborate with our Creative Director and PR lead to bring bigger brand moments to life. You'll also work with our paid media freelancer to make sure paid social and organic are properly joined up.
This is a hands-on role – content creation, performance analysis, CRM & e-commerce management, and insights reporting, with video and analytics at the core of it.
What You'll Do:
Social Media Strategy, Content & Analytics (65%)
Strategy & Planning
- Own our social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Collaborate with Head of Campaigns to plan, schedule, and publish engaging content across all platforms
- Manage the content calendar, working closely with Head of Campaigns on campaign content and activations
- Partner with Creative Director and PR for bigger brand campaigns
- Coordinate with our paid media freelancer to align paid and organic strategies
- Stay informed about platform updates, algorithm changes, content trends, and industry best practices relevant to our target markets
- Support sourcing and cultivating relationships with influencers who are appropriate to our brand
Content Creation
- Bring content concepts to life from ideation through execution, ensuring content is on-brand, engaging, and optimised for each platform
- Shoot content on iPhone and edit short-form video using CapCut, InShot, or similar tools to create scroll-stopping content for TikTok and Reels
- Write hooks and captions that stop the scroll
- Repurpose and optimise content across platforms, adapting formats and messaging for maximum impact on each channel
- Stay ahead of content trends, cultural moments, and platform-specific features to keep Pieminister relevant and engaging
Analytics & Optimisation
- Deep dive into platform analytics – understand what content performs, when, why, and for which audiences
- Track metrics that actually matter (not just vanity metrics) - engagement rates, reach, conversion, follower quality
- Build hypotheses, test them, measure results, and adapt strategy based on what you learn
- Monitor real-time engagement across all platforms, respond to comments promptly, and escalate customer concerns to Customer Care when needed
Newsletter & Comms (20%)
- Manage our email newsletter – content, send schedule, performance tracking
- Analyse open rates, click-throughs, and conversions to optimise future sends
- Work with Head of Campaigns to ensure brand messaging is joined up
Insights & Reporting (10%)
- Weekly/monthly performance reports with clear analysis and actionable recommendations
- Share insights with the wider brand team to inform campaign planning
- Build dashboards or tracking systems that make it easy to see what's working at a glance
E-commerce (5%)
- Manage our online shop – product listings, promotions, site updates
- Use Google Analytics and Shopify data to understand customer behaviour and optimise the shop experience
- Plan and execute digital campaigns to drive traffic and sales
What We're Looking For:
Essential
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand with demonstrable results
- Strong short-form video creation skills – you're comfortable shooting on mobile, editing in CapCut (or similar tools like InShot or Adobe Premiere Pro), and producing content natively for TikTok and Reels
- Not afraid to be on camera – you're as comfortable in front of the lens as behind it, and confident using mics and other filming kit to produce polished content
- A natural people person – confident approaching members of the public for vox pops, and equally comfortable coaxing colleagues in front of the camera
- Experience with trends-led content – you know how to make an audio or format work for a brand without it feeling forced
- Properly analytical – confident with Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Shopify (or similar), and able to extract meaningful insights from data
- You understand platform algorithms, engagement mechanics, and what makes content perform
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and can own the setup and maintenance of automated social media analytics reporting
- A test-and-learn mindset – you try things, measure what happens, and adapt
- Excellent at spotting patterns in data and turning them into action
- Organised and proactive – you can manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written English with a good ear for brand tone of voice
Bonus Points For
- Experience coordinating or briefing paid social campaigns
- Familiarity with social listening or insights tools
- E-commerce or DTC brand experience
- An interest in food & sustainability
We do not expect candidates to meet all of the above requirements, if you feel that you meet some of these and are interested in the role, please apply.
